The price doesn't sound too bad, if the bike is in really good, clean, fully operable condition. Before you buy a used metric cruiser, even from dealer trade in or new-old(never sold, still in inventory) stock, give it a complete going over. Check out the bolt ons for evidence of being layed over. Check the paint for roughness that could mean a cheap overpainting of a wrecked or abused bike. Make sure everything that should be on it is and works. Do the same for a used bike as you would for a used pick up truck, but be even more critical. A used bike, new bike, borrowed bike etc can be a joy or a major hassle.
If this sounds a bit overcautious, it should. I'vebeen burned buying used vehicles a couple of time, especially metric motorcycles. Remember that just because you may like it now, doesn't mean for sure that you always will.
The Savage is a good little bike. If it fits, if you like it, if the price isn't the main concern, then by all means buy one (or two, three, whatever tickles your fancy).
Happy hunting.
